Quantity indicator of amount of water used.

This topic will study in indicator of water which use in general. The indicator which we saw in everyday and used extensively, we call “water meter”. In general water meter have many type but which one we use in everyday life is proper use in house or small commercial building. Beside the water meter, in some product have indicator such as sanitary ware. Any type of sanitary ware have different indicator such as toilet. It will indicate water used by when the user push down one time if the tank contain 20 liters of water that it show user use water 20 liters.

What is water meter?
Water meter is the equipment which measure water used. In most development countries, water meter are normally used in house, condominiums and commercial building in a public water system. Water meter can be used at the water source too.

Water meter typically measurement
In the universal have many different type of measurement such as cubic meter, cubic liter, cubic feet, US gallon.

Cubic meter
Cubic meter (symbol m³) is the SI derived unit of volume. It is the volume of a cube with edges one meter in length. In the United States it is spelled "cubic meter."

1 cubic meter is equivalent to:
-1,000 liters ; 1 liter = 0.001 m³
-35.3 cubic feet ; 1 cubic foot (1 ft3)= 0.028 m³
-6.29 oil barrels ; 1 barrel = 0.158 m³

Cubic feet
A cubic foot is U.S. unit of volume. It always used in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. It is defined as the volume of a cube with sides of 1 foot (0.3048 m) in length.

1 cubic feet is equivalent to:
-1728 cubic inches
-28.316 liters or 0.028 cubic meters.
-7.480 U.S. liquid gallons

U.S. gallon
US gallon, also known in the United States as English units or standard units, are unit of measurement that are currently used in the United Stated , in some case alongside units form SI (the International System of Units-the modern metric system). All units are defined in term of SI base units, but at ratio in convenient for conversion.

1 US gallon is equivalent to:
-US gallon is defined as 231 cubic inches.
-3.785 liters or about 0.137 cubic feet.

There are many type of water meter in common use. Selection is base on different flow measurement methods, the type of user, the required flow rates, and accuracy requirements. In North America, standards for manufacturing of water meters are made by the American Water Works Association.

There are three common methods of flow measurement in use:
1. Displacement meter
This type of water meter is most often used in houses, condominiums and small commercial building. These meters are generally very accurate at low to moderate flow rates, and are common in size from 5/8 inches to 2 inches. Because displacement meters depend on flowing. It normally has built in strainer to protect the measuring element from rocks or other debris that could stop or break the measuring element. Displacement meter made bodies from bronze, brass or plastic and inside measuring chambers made from molded plastics and stainless steel.

2. Velocity meter
A velocity meter measures the velocity of flow. though a meter of a known internal capacity. The speed of the flow can be change into volume of flow for usage. There are many type of meter that measure water flow velocity to determine totalizes usage.
2.1 Muti-jet meter
Muti-jet meter are very small size and are commonly used in 5/8 inches to 2 inches for residential and small commercial uses. The muti-jet meter will use with many pipe in internal chamber for against impeller. The impeller rotation speed is in relation to the velocity of water flow. Multi-jets are very accurate at low flow rates, but are not used in larger sizes. Multi-jet meters normally have bronze alloy bodies or outer casings with internal measuring parts made from modern thermoplastics and stainless steel.

3. Electromagnetic meter.
Magnetic flow meters, commonly referred to as "mag meters" are technically a velocity type water meter, but that they use electromagnetic properties to determine the water flow velocity rather than mechanical. Mag meters require AC or DC electricity to operate the electromagnets. Since mag meters have no mechanical measuring element, they normally have the advantage of being able to measure flow in either direction. Mag meters can also be useful for measuring raw water, and wastewater, since there is no mechanical measuring element to have clogged or debris to damage.

How do water meters work?
Water meter measure in liters units which use in residential will work by the water will pour inside the body of meter. The water will rotate the paddle in circle direction. The rotation in one time is indicating quantity of water used. And then the paddle will rotate gear later and the dial will run in the same time. For protect clog or debris, the meter have strainer for filter. But for the electronic water meter, inside the meter will have the electronic chip for calculate the water when it pass the meter and the result will show on the screen. Each electronic meter will use the different power such as battery, AC or DC power

I dont see any structure in your report? Have you used your own words to guide us through it?I dont think that you did. Can you give a summary of the types of indicators also.
